Deck Calculator

Decks are probably the best part of remodeling the exterior of your home. Not only does it add to the look of your home, but it also increases the space that you can entertain. A well built deck is also a great place for kids to play safely.

Building a deck is not impossible but it does require  basic building knowledge. You have to be able to operate a circular saw and be fairly skilled with a hammer. Review some of our Deck tips before getting started then go to Build a deck and start creating.

NOTE: When entering figures into the calculator, the width is always along the house and the length is always going away from the house. The height is to the frame from grade ( the ground ). The figures are true measurements. Meaning, if you want a 10' deck you would buy 10' lumber. However if you input 9' for a deck you would need to purchase 10' lumber and cut it down. Click on Build a Deck to figure out your lumber cuts.
